About Us

We are located in a historic, 100-year-old building next to the Paramount Center for the Arts in downtown Bristol, TN. The building originally housed upscale men's clothier Remein Goble, and became home to K.P. Duty in June 1991.

The first country music recording, known as the Bristol Sessions, earned Bristol the title of the Birthplace of Country Music. Following Ralph Peer's successful field recordings in Bristol in 1927, he returned in October 1928 to conduct another recording session. For nine days, from October 27 through November 3, Peer set up in a building about a block est from the original recording side, on the second floor of a building at the corner of the alley which now runs beside the Paramount Center For the Arts. It's now the home of K.P. Duty's catering and party venue.
